Hello, The Office of Student Leadership is in the process of preparing for Welcome Days, which is a series of events from August 20-24, 2014 that welcomes incoming freshman to the University and allows them to acclimate themselves to the University before the semester starts. Move-In Day Wednesday, August 20, 2014 Various Locations We would like to request your help in welcoming new students to the campus, you will be physically assisting them with moving into the residence halls and directing them to various buildings across the campus maps. Light refreshments and water will be provided throughout the day. We would need your assistance between the hours of 1-6pm. Men Only and Women Only Sessions Thursday, August 21, 2014 MLK Parlors (Men) EH Theatre (Women) As a member of the DSU Family we would like for you to offer guidance and mentorship to incoming students. These sessions are setup as workshops where the students are able to interact with you and ask questions regarding “College Life” and the secrets to success after graduation. We would need your assistance from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. The Hornet Induction Ceremony Sunday, August 24, 2014 EH Theatre We would like to invite you to be a part of this special ceremony. As a DSU Alum, we would like to give you the opportunity to read inspirational quotes during the ceremony that will encourage students throughout their time at the University. We would need your assistance from 3:00pm to 4:15pm. If you are able to offer your time and uplifting energy to welcome this year’s incoming students please get registration and complete the registration form on or before Friday, July 25, 2014.
